Condor Golf
Condor Golf is a rougelite deckbuilder golf game, played on a course with real ball physics.
Your bag is a 53 card deck - four copies of each club and one putter. Each shot you take is from an 8 card hand, and cards can be played together to grand additional effects.
A game run is 18 holes split into six pods of three holes. Each pod has a score quota that must be met to advance. Better scores like birdies and eagles give higher multiples to your score, and scores like bogeys halve the score. Between holes spend winnings in the pro shop to buy new clubs, booster cards to multiply scoring advantages, and caddies (this game's jokers).
Beat all six quotas to finish the round and beat the game!
The game is currently in prototyping phase to nail down scoring, pacing, and user experience. There might be bugs, and there is definitely a learning curve! The plan is to eventually have a variety of course selection options and greatly expand the card options / content in preparation of a paid release through various channels.
I'd love to hear:
- Does the scoring make sense?
- Is the game too hard? Too easy?
- What did you want to do but couldn't?
Sounds are from outside sources, more detailed credits appear in game (https://incompetech.com / http://kenney.nl)
AI generated assets are currently used for various game assets, especially the shop UI - the plan is to continue work building out (made my me :)) more custom / hand painted assets for cards, packs etc. as well as a custom soundtrack.
